Nancy Rhine has been involved
in community building for the past 25 years, making significant impacts
on five major online brands. She most recently planned, designed and
launched the communities for PlanetRx.com, an online pharmacy that
served 1.4 million registered members. In 1992, she cofounded Women.com,
the leading network for women that today attracts 7.6 million members
each month. In 1995, America Online's President recruited her to launch
the company's first women's channel. Based on her successful proof
of concept, it was leveraged by AOL as part of a lucrative $30 million
sale of women-based properties to Oxygen Media. Nancy was also a cofounder
and Business Development Director of AOL's Digital City, a regionally-focused
community now based in 60 cities. Her online career began in 1989
as part of the management team at The WELL. |
