Permission to Imagine

I've written before about Art and the Life Force -- and my mother the art teacher's philosophy: while some people are especially talented, art is not just for the talented, but is a human birthright. All kids are artists until someone looks over a shoulder at your work and tells you that your horse doesn't look like a horse, so you can't make art.
