Box -- sanded and polished

I used 100, 150, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800 grits sandpaper, then steel wool, then applied a mixture of shellac and wax and polished with a cloth. Still need to carve out the interior of the bottom, cut off the tenon on the bottom -- the part gripped in the chuck on the left -- and sand the bottom.

I could cut off the nub on the top, but I think it could be useful to pull the tight lid off. I might hollow it slightly on top and glue a smooth piece of round quartz in.
