She's my dear friend and my wife's best friend. I've known her since she was 14. Her son is my godson, and he is my daughter's godfather and was her babysitter. Now she is in a rehabilitation facility after fighting for her life in the wake of extensive abdominal surgery. I cut, shaped, smoothed, and painted this out of poplar wood and gave it to her as a healing talisman.
