Space Ranger Helmet

My grandson admires Buzz Lightyear and exclaims "to infinity and beyond: often. When told he is a big kid, he says: "I'm not a kid. I'm a space ranger." So I made this for him. I made the helm with papier mache on a balloon, layered with canvas soaked in wood glue, with a layer of acrylic molding medium over that. Then I sanded, gessoed, painted, and glued on an off-the-shelf set of earphones and face mask.
