I've written here before about my friend, Justin Hall. Today is the 30th anniversary of his extremely candid website, links.net. It was the extraordinary amount of traffic to that site in 1994 that brought him to the attention of the crew of what was on its way to becoming the first cultural commercial "webzine," as we called them back then: Hotwired. His Wikipedia page is a kick -- and rereading it reminded me of the time he made a valiant try to turn the Web into a game with “Passively Multiplayer Online Games”
