Writers Club
http://www.aol.com Professional and amateur wordsmiths of all types congregate in AOL's Writers Club to do all the things writers do when they get together. There's plenty of bragging and grousing, trading of tips, and sharing insights with the as-yet- unpublished hopefuls. Specialists cluster into bulletin boards devoted to such specific writing fields as poetry, copywriting, fiction, non-fiction and the various genres of each. Still, many participate in a wide variety of discussions. The chat rooms offer online workshops and conferences as well as places for writers to hang out, make friends and talk shop. A club library offers resource materials plus samples of participants works, from the dreadful to the deathless. - E.L. subject matter: writing regional affiliation: North America, Europe format: conferencing, chat language: English cost: 15 hours free, $9.95 per month (includes 5 free hours), $2.95 per hour after that. On December 1, 1996, AOL will be available for $19.95 per month for unlimited usage. |
