ChibaMOO is one of the many MOOs that are part of Sensemedia's Sprawl - a virtual community consisting of the themed MOOs and their web interface which will tell you who's logged on and past activity in certain rooms. ChibaMOO is based on William Gibson's Neuromancer, although the players are more social than Gibson's loner protagonist. There's more socializing than role playing here, and many characters have been around for a couple years. You can also connect to the neighboring MOOs in the Sprawl - UltiMOO, a futuristic MOO set in Australia, the Weyrmount, Snow (based on Neal Stephenson's SnowCrash), and Rupert (based on Douglas Adams's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). - T.H.
