"Boys rule / girls drool" seems to be the ideology that keeps this newsgroup kicking. The boys are running around professing the superiority of their chromosomes, describing the evil ways of those nasty feminists, and pulling the girls' pigtails. For some reason, people come back to argue with these highly emotional men about feminism, patriarchy and the Bobbits. In discussing the roles of women in society, the conversation inevitably slides into debates on abortion, prostitution and other issues dealing with what women do with their bodies. Reading alt.feminazis was absolutely maddening because of the lack of logic, compassion or grasp on reality of some of its participants. Me, I prefer other ways to raise my blood pressure and won't rise to the bait. But if you want to hone your rhetoric on a bunch of knuckle-draggers, then have at it. - D.L.J.
