The Music Ministry list is a support forum by and for Christians who use music as their means of ministry - from choir directors to sound engineers, from recording artists to those who sing in the choir on Sunday services, the list is for the discussion of music as a ministry. This include professional music ministers as well as volunteers, and thus far has attracted a majority of Protestant and Independent music ministers. Participants share experiences with different strategies for leading choirs, using music as part of the worship experience, how to get people attending church to join in and sing, using music as part of youth ministry, where to get songbooks and sheet music for practice, and other related matters. Members are especially supportive to each other, going out of their way to help. They also share requests for prayer and support for personal matters such as a sick child or encouragement in personal spiritual development. -E.L.
