Net-Lab MOO
http://jerryc.tyrell.net:8888/ Small and cozy, Net-Lab MOO is a place for science students, teachers, and professionals to build cool text-based science experiments and projects, learn from one another, and of course, to socialize. Among other activities, they hold virtual scientific experiments for students in grades K-6 as well as for those on the graduate and professional level. If you want to join the Net-Lab MOO community, you can get your own office or lab in the Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Computer Wings where you can develop your experiments and inventions. Some members have recorded musing in their publicly readable Lab Books on their scientific journeys which are thoughtful, funny, and smart - which also characterizes Net-Lab MOO in general. If you're looking at Net-Lab MOO via telnet, there's a nifty interface to separate your MOO commands from the commands of other users as well as an ASCII art map in every room of where you are. Watch for the site's science fairs to see examples of some of the best projects Net-Lab MOO has to offer. - T.H. subject matter: science, education regional affiliation: global format: text-based multi-user environment language: English cost: no cost |
